It is licenced under the PA Dept of Agriculture and the USDA. Owned and operated by the Newswanger family, an Old Order Mennonite family with seven beautiful children, each dog at Clover Creek Kennel is lovingly cared for. Under PA law, Kennel facilities must meet rigorous cleanliness and care
standards, which are designed to protect the health and well-being of the
dogs. Each day, the kennel is fully cleaned, and the family has designed
their facility to be easy to clean and pleasant to work in.

Dogs are housed in one of two

Puppies are born in whelping boxes
which are sanitized every day. These
boxes can be heated underneath to
provide more warmth to the new babies
during the first week or so of life. The
whelping area temperature is set at 75
degrees F, year around, so it is always
a comfortable and cozy haven for the
puppies and their mothers.
For the first 2-3 weeks the puppies will
spend most of their time in the box,
nursing their mothers and growing. At 3
weeks, the puppies will receive their first
worming. A vet visits the facility once a
month to provide routine consultation
with the caregivers.
